By default, Rocky Mountain Reserve issues reimbursements via a mailed paper check. However, you can update your account preferences at any time to receive your funds faster through Direct Deposit, PayPal, or Venmo.
Use this guide to update your payment elections or link your bank account securely.

🛠️ Access Your Reimbursement Settings
You can update your payment method using either of the two paths below inside the RMR User Portal:
Path A: Through Account Settings (Best for quick updates)
Log in to the RMR portal and click on your initials in the top-right corner.
Select Manage Account.

Click on Reimbursement Options.
- Select Add Payment Method and choose Add a new Direct Deposit (or your preferred network like PayPal/Venmo).
Path B: While Submitting a Claim

On the left sidebar, click Reimburse Me. In the bottom right corner, click Skip Upload to open the Claim Details page.

Under the section How Should We Reimburse You?, click Change payment method.
This will open a pop-up with alternative reimbursement methods. - Select the new reimbursement method, fill out the pop-up form, then click Next or Submit.
💳 Setting Up PayPal, Venmo, or a Personal Debit Card

Select the new reimbursement method (PayPal, Venmo, or Debit Card) from the pop-up menu. And fill out the pop-up form with your account details.
Click Next or Submit.
Select the updated method, then click Save. If this method should be the default for all future claims, check the box for Save as default payment method.
🏦 Setting Up Direct Deposit (Plaid Verification)
For maximum security and to protect your funds, Rocky Mountain Reserve utilizes Plaid to verify all direct deposit connections.
When linking your bank, you will choose between two verification methods: Instant or Manual. The Instant method connects immediately using your online banking credentials, while the Manual process takes 1 to 2 days using small micro-deposits.
You'll see two methods to verify your account, "Instant" and "Manual". The Instant method utilizes Plaid to verify bank account information, while the Manual process will deposit several micro-deposits to your account and have you verify these deposits. The Manual process will take 1 - 2 days to verify.
Instant Verification

Select your Institution
- Log in via your Institution. This will open a new tab to securely sign in to your bank. (If this window does not open, check your browser for any active pop-up or ad blocker.
- After your institution is successfully connected, select the checking or savings account you want to use.
That's it, your bank account is now connected!
Option B: Manual Verification
- Enter routing number.
- Enter Account Number.
- Select your account type (Checking or Savings).
- Plaid will notify you that micro-deposits are being sent to your account.
- Monitor your personal bank account over the next 48 hours to view these deposits. Make sure to note the 3-letter code associated with the deposit.
- Log back into your Rocky Mountain Reserve Account, enter the 3-letter code, and hit verify.
That's it, you're all connected!
