Can an employee contribute to an HSA?
An employee may contribute through salary deferral through their employer or an employee may contribute directly to their HSA.
How do I increase my pre-tax contributions from my paycheck to my HSA?
To change the amount deducted from your paycheck and contributed to your HSA, you need to contact your HR department or employer directly. Rocky Mountain Reserve cannot make these adjustments, as payroll deductions are set up and managed by your employer.
Can an Employer contribute to an HSA?
Yes.
What is the maximum annual contribution?
For 2022, the individual limit is $3,650 and the family limit is $7,300.
For 2023, the individual limit is $3,850 and the family limit is $7,750.
For 2024, the individual limit is $4,150 and the family limit is $8,300.
For 2025, the individual limit is $4,300 and the family limit is $8,550.

Mistaken Funds Withdrawal
Funds were withdrawn from an HSA and I wanted them taken out of a limited FSA.
The participant must contact client services and sign a form to correct the mistake.
Funds were withdrawn from an HSA for non-medical expenses. What should I do?
- The participant can pay for other medical expenses with non-HSA funds and use those expenses to offset their HSA distribution on their taxes.
- Participants may return the funds, but they must sign a special form. Participants can get this form by contacting client services.
- Pay out of pocket and then submit a claim through your online portal.
