FSA Rules

• Participants can claim and receive their entire annual election at any time, but they must substantiate every expense with receipts or bills containing the date, amount, and description.
• According to IRS rules, items or services related to disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, or conditions affecting bodily functions are eligible for reimbursement.
• Expenses covered by insurance or other plans are not eligible for reimbursement.
• General health, personal use, and cosmetic surgery expenses are not eligible.
• Reimbursements for eligible expenses are cannot be used for federal income tax deductions.
